The 15-Minute Social Media Audit Everyone Can Do!

Written by Kevan Lee Posted on Tuesday, March 25th, 2014 Written by Kevan Lee Check list The word “audit” deserves more love than it gets. When I hear the word, my mind goes straight to tax season and the manila envelope crammed with receipts and forms that I keep stashed away in the closet. Audits seem to equal anxiety, which is too bad – because not all audits are created equal. A tune-up at the garage is essentially an audit for your car, a check-up at the doctor is an audit of your health. You can learn a lot from regular reviews like these. The same holds true for an audit of your social media marketing. You can learn a lot from an examination of how you manage (or don’t manage) your online brand. If it helps to think of a social media audit as something else—a marketing mastermind, maybe?—then so be it. Don’t let the word “audit” get in the way of checking in regularly with your social profiles. It’s easier and more helpful than you think. Social media audits matter for everyone Maintaining a social media presence can be a full-time job, which makes it kind of difficult if your full-time job requires your time and attention be spent elsewhere. Social media profiles can fall into disrepair quickly when left alone. An audit can help get things back on track. On the flip side, there are those of you who actively maintain social media profiles and take great pain to keep everything updated and cohesive. Audits are helpful in these instances, too. They can serve as much-needed opportunities for reflection and growth. Basically, audits are helpful for everyone, no matter where you’re at with your social media marketing.

Simply Put Reviews Are What An Author Needs: Think of it as a Giveaway!

In an effort to provide you with the most honest information about me. I confess I am a self-published author. That’s right I am committed to writing a story, a novel every chance I get (hopefully I put out two to three books a year). Even though I have a whacked-out frenetic hectic schedule as do many others. However I persevere. I am committed to writing my stories.

With that said I’d like to make a request of you my gentle readers, followers, friends, and family. If you have the time to read one of my books and you are willing to do a review for my book on Amazon. I would be willing to mail you a signed autograph copy at the mailing address information you provide. Think of it as a Giveaway.

If you would like to read one of my books please email me at: Email: jerreecejackson@yahoo.com or jerreecejackson@gmail.com

Thank you.

Passion, Romance, Hot & Spicy, Raw, Sexy, Fantasy, Dreams, Reality….

Passion, Romance, Hot & Spicy, Raw, Sexy, Fantasy, Raunchy, Dreamy, Reality….Uh-huh.

“Oh what is a writer to write?”

Use your imagination, and release your inhibitions. Use the three “e’s”….Experiment, Explore, Entertain!

After the multi-million dollar selling “Fifty Shades of Grey” we’ve learned that sex sells.

Now you’re next question should be….

”Does the author J. A. JACKSON write a sexy love scene? Or is it Raw, Hot and Spicy, Raunchy & Dirty?”

Hmmmm….Take a look and see for yourself. Read my books....

Oh and check out Chapter 34 of The Grand Hotel for a tantalizing taste of .......Wait for it!

Delicious things to come!

When the moon is full and the stars align...

When the moon is full, and I look back at the stars then comes a story.

Or is it because I’m listening to Sean Paul sing “Give it up to me…”I write a story.

Or is it when I put on that sexy leather halter dress, and wear those four inch shiny black pumps?

Sounds like hooey?

Hmmm ponder it.

Or is it picture it?

The words of a song, wearing my favorite high heels, or gazing at the moon….What do they all have in common?

They are things that can inspire me to write.

I think of them as preparing my creative ideas to flow.

What about you? What inspires you to write?

Now gather together your ingredients (ideas) for believable characters and plots and began writing.

I’m a writer now…Should I quit my day job? Oh no you didn’t just ask that!

Hell-O!

“I sorry,” I said calmly. “Opps... I meant to say Jello?”

Let me make my point.

Now stuff your mouth full of ice cold red Jello, and then swallow hard. Now ask yourself this…..

“Do I want to eat Jello for breakfast, lunch and dinner?”

Now wait for it!

Do you want to just eat Jello? All the time?

If you ask me...."Jello just doesn't taste that good."

So if you want to be a writer. Be a writer. But hang on to the security of your day job.

What I’m trying to say... “You got to eat!

So don’t start listening to those trippin’ writer hater’s - folks You know the ones who tell you

~ you are a great writer - you should do this for a living. And then tell you to quit the

security of your day job. You won’t be able to find one of them to help you pay your rent.”

Now keep writing and get up tomorrow and head off to the security of that day job.

Serious about your writing?

Serious about your writing?

Take Time Daily To Pursue Your Dream! The only way to become a writer is to write…

If you are like me your day is busy. Every minute of the day is crammed with something you must do.

Yet you want to pursue your dream to write.

What do you do?

Schedule time to write daily.

How?

Strategize!

What?

All I'm saying is free up sometime in your busy schedule and then use that time to write.

For example, if you have a favorite TV show and you watch it. Chances are you got thirty minutes or an hour of time right there that you could spend writing. With this time you could start writing your outline or the first chapter of your book.

Hey but what about my favorite show?

Well think about recording it and then watching it on the weekend or your day off.

If you start pursuing your dream to write today, you make finishing your book a reality.

Let’s keep writing…Next up writing that scene!

Every scene you write should move your story forward and it should do something to your character.

For Example:

Move the character forward or keep the character from having something, a goal, another person, etc.

Every scene should show that the character is involved.

Every scene should be logical.

Every scene should have a beginning, a middle, and end.

Every scene should keep the reader interested, with conflict, villains, alliances etc.

And most importantly every scene should keep your readers interested.

Start Writing!

Let's Write that Story...Know the first tool to writing a story? The Outline...

Developing Your Ideas Into A Story…

Plan out your story…..First up.... Make an outline.

What is an outline?

It’s the roadmap to use to write your story.

You start your story with your Characters. Remember your characters are the key.

Do you have..... a Hero & Heroine?

Do you need.... a Hero or Heroine?

Who are they? Are they loveable? Unlovable?

Are they at least likeable?

Exciting or Dull?

Do you have conflict? A Plot....Details?

Remember to keep your story on track…

Keep it moving!

So start with your outline? And develop your story.

Oh and now start writing.

What is Envy?

Shakespeare called it.... "The Green Sickness"

What is it?

Envy!

Envy differs from its twin jealousy because it involves an awareness of an advantage enjoyed by another.

And accompany by a desire to have what they possess.

Why do I mention this?

Think about the character called your villain.....

What is it that they wish to possess but can't have?

Think about it.....Your next villain might just be an envious person.

He Who Knows...Writing is like Discernment ...You can learn!

Writing is like Discernment

He who knows not, and knows not that he knows not is a fool; shun him.

He who knows not, and knows that he knows not is a child; teach him.

He who knows, and knows not that he knows, is asleep; wake him.

He who knows, and knows that he knows, is wise; follow him.

How are you to know which one to apply, in any walk in life?

Discernment is the answer. Have skill in reading character. Size it up.

Just like a write must do with his characters....
